Script Submissions
We are so excited you’re thinking about submitting to Fresh Ink! We do things a little differently around here, so check out the guidelines below and let us know if you have any questions.

Our 2012 submission window is now closed! We'll be announcing our selections in the spring. Thank you to all who submitted work for our first open submission -- we were delighted to see such great turnout! Check back for details on next year's submission opportunities.
Fresh Ink works primarily from an open submission process. During submission month, we will accept up to 40 scripts for consideration. The submission window will close once all 40 slots have been filled so submit early! All submissions must include a completed cover sheet (made available in advance). Incomplete submissions or unsolicited plays sent before the submission period will not be considered.
Out of the pool of scripts we receive, two will be selected for a staged reading and three will be selected for a development cycle that includes a reading, workshop, and production over the course of the season. You can read more about this process at our FAQ page and on our blog.

Submission and Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of MA, CT, ME, NH, RI, or VT.
- Your play must not have had a professional production. Previous readings, workshops, or academic productions are allowed.
- Unfortunately, we cannot currently accept musicals or children's shows.
- You may submit an original or adapted work, provided the rights to any material not in the public domain have been granted in writing and a copy of the release is emailed along with the script.
- A writer may submit only one play each year.
- No incomplete submissions will be accepted.
- Please ensure your script has page numbers.
- Please title your script ("Save As") in the following format: TITLE OF PLAY - Last Name, First Name
- Send a PDF or Word file of your script and a completed cover sheet as two separate documents.
