Written by Michael Vukadinovich
Directed by Lizette Marie Morris The Factory Theatre April 27 - May 12, 2012 Trog and Clay is a wildly imaginative retelling of the genesis of the electric chair. Based on the actual trial transcripts of William Kemmler, the first person put to death by electrocution, this skewed comedy obscures the line between fact and invention, while wryly looking into America’s grim history. |

Deirdre Benson (Stage Manager) is delighted to be joining Fresh Ink for the first time. Recently she had the opportunity to Stage Manage for Heart & Dagger(Crave), Argos Productions (Junkie, Wandalaria) and Theatre on Fire (Blackadder II: Live, Mojo). She served as Production Stage Manager for the regional premiere of Lucy Prebble’s ENRON with Zeitgeist Stage Company for whom she Stage Managed a number of productions including the Elliot Norton Award winners Blue/Orange, Stuff Happens and The Kentucky Cycle. Also, she has worked with Holland Productions (Mistakes Madeline Made, Hideous Progeny), The Fort Point Theater Channel (Time of Your Life, Codes of Conduct) and the Independent Drama Society (Glengarry Glen Ross). Coming up next, she'll be working with Happy Medium Theatre here at the Factory for The American Plan. She also serves as the Treasurer of the Small Theater Alliance of Boston.
Sean A. Cote (Set Design) has worked with local companies in many capacities; most notably as a scenic designer, but also as an actor, puppeteer, and playwright. Sincere thanks to Fresh Ink and Settie for their continued collaboration!
Mikey DiLoreto (George Westinghouse/Judge) is so honored to be making his Fresh Ink debut. He is the Co-Artistic Director of Happy Medium Theatre as well as an Artistic Associate with Heart & Dagger Productions. Theatrical credits include: Humpty Dumpty and Moliere^2 (imaginary beasts); Interview, MilkMilkLemonade, and Beyond the Light (Heart & Dagger Productions); Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom and Music From a Sparkling Planet (Happy Medium Theatre); Kid Simple and Aloha, Say the Pretty Girls (Holland Productions); and The Rocky Horror Show (Loki Arts). You can catch Mikey in June playing Gil Harbision in The American Plan and in July playing D in Polaroid Stories.
Renee Rossi Donlon (Marguerite Westinghouse) is thrilled to wear a fancy dress and be loud. Also to work on her first Fresh Ink Theatre show. So much so that she took a break from film to do (gasp!) a play. Recent films include Measuring Matthew (She Moon Productions) and Pie Heaven (Wednesday Night Pictures). You can see Renee at the Boston International Film Festival this April in Cowboy Cafe. Hear her brag more at reneerossidonlon.com.
Cameron Beaty Gosselin (Trog) is feeling just ducky about his first endeavor with Fresh Ink Theatre. Cameron grew up in Massachusetts but left to study theatre in Pennsylvania at Muhlenberg College and in London at Goldsmiths College. He focused on classical performance and stage combat. Since returning to Boston Cameron has appeared as Hamlet in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, choreographed violence for a production of Titus Andronicus and read as Will Scarlet in a modernized Robin Hood story called Tidewater 4-10-09.
Terrence P. Haddad (Thomas Edison) is excited to be working with Fresh Ink for the first time. Recently he was seen in Heart & Dagger's production of Crave. Past roles include: Fantasy Man in Wandaleria (Argos); Sir Walter Raleigh/Ensemble in Blackadder II: Live! (Theatre on Fire); Eadric in Silence (GAN-e-meed); John Curtis Buntner in Christmas Belles (Phoenix/Company One); Ensemble in The Superheroine Monologues (Phoenix/Company One); the Young Man in The American Dream (Theatre on Fire); Carl in The Baltimore Waltz (Holland Productions); Chuck in Essential Self-Defense (Gurnet Theatre Project); Paul Bratter in Barefoot in the Park (Bad Habit); Scotty Rowan/Ensemble in The Kentucky Cycle (Zeitgeist/Way); plus others.
Louise Hamill (Clay) was recently seen in Beyond the Light with Heart and Dagger, Macbeth with Boston Lyric Opera, The T Plays III with Mill 6, Bear Patrol with Vaquero Playground, WASP with Happy Medium Theatre, and Foreverendia and Poe; a fever dream with 11:11 Theatre Company. She is also the Artistic Director of Fresh Ink Theatre Company and sings with the Metropolitan Chorale. Louise has a BA in Theatre from Connecticut College and studied at the British American Drama Academy.
Chris Larson (William Kemmler/Doctor) is very grateful to be working with Fresh Ink for the first time on their second play! This past year he was lucky enough to have roles in Dogg's Hamlet, Cahoot's MacBeth (Whistler in the Dark), Arcadia (Bad Habit Productions) and Eurydice (Independent Drama Society), which were each nominated for an IRNE award for Best Small/Fringe Play. Chris spends the other half of his stage-related life sound designing for many of the small theater companies in Boston.
Silas Janzen Lohrenz (Props Design) has been living and building replica props in the boroughs of Boston for many hundreds of years. Quite content to ignore and be ignored by the world of the "big folk." He has been working in many functions with Rough Week and Brown Box Theatre Project and his heart is all a-flutter to be working with Fresh Ink!
Lizette M. Morris (Director) is a local director, stage manager and performer. Originally from Stamford, CT, Lizette graduated from Franklin Pierce College in 2007 with a BA in Theatre Arts. Currently she divides her time between stage managing for Blue Man Group Boston and freelancing within the fringe theater scene. Lizette's most recent credits include directing Election Day by Josh Tobiessen and performing as Leslie in Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom by Jennifer Haley with Happy Medium Theatre, Inc. She will next direct In Your Wildest Dreams by Joey C. Pelletier for Heart and Dagger Productions. Lizette is thrilled to be a part of Fresh Ink Theatre's inaugural season and looks forward to future collaborations.

This season, she costumed Not a Box 1ppex (GAN-e-meed Theatre Project), Once Upon a Mattress (Stoneham Theatre), Crave (Heart & Dagger Productions) and coordinated the quick-changes for Or, (Lyric Stage Company). Many thanks to Fresh Ink for this opportunity! Oh, and she’s an actor and a hoofer too. www.kaiteetredway.com
